      Can I still get updates with a child theme?

      Yes, a child theme inherits all updates from the parent theme while still retaining any customizations

      Any files in the child theme that have the same name as that of the parent (marketplace theme) will not be updated.

      If you clone a module or template to the child theme, we recommend renaming the file and changing the label so you can retain access to the original module as well as your custom version.
